Don’t panic. This isn’t a ‘the world is ending’ type of post… More a 2022 is over and 2023 is nearly upon us! Let’s wrap up with a 2022 end of year blog post. Where did the year go?! It’s been a whirlwind of a year for many of us and one filled with a few milestones for me.
I turned 30 this year. Yep. The big 30. Many thought I would have a Bridget Jones-esque meltdown but I was rather looking forward to it. 30 finally felt like I had my shit together. Well, I think I did anyway…
It all came falling down when 3 days before the big day, I developed a sinus infection. So that was it. Bed bound on my 30th birthday surrounded by tissues and unable to move. It wasn’t the birthday celebrations I had anticipated however, it did mean I got the chance to binge watch This is Us and the Hobbit movies. If you have never watched This is Us, you must absolutely do so. It’s a phenomenal TV series available on Amazon Prime. Copious amounts of tissues are required!
Marnie never left my side. This really was the cutest thing. In between her rather annoying squeaking, she really is very cute. Take now, as I write this post she is curled up under the radiator by my feet. Cue everyone saying ‘aaaawwww’.
Another biggie for me this year is that I finally took the plunge and Book & Border was born. Getting to know the bookstagram and book blogging community has been a wonderful experience. I’ve been learning a lot about blog writing, my favourite book genres as well exploring different book blogs, and authors. It’s been cathartic to write about these books which I love (or not) instead of spilling out my summaries to my family and friends!
Check out my favourite books and their reviews. I’d love to know what you think.
In 2023, I’ll be doing more reviews and recommendations for books as well as focusing on ways in which you can make more time for reading in uyour day. Any other topics which you’d like to hear more of, I’d love to hear them so get in touch!
I cannot thank you all enough for joining me on this book blog journey and for checking out my bookstagram, It’s been a wonderful experience to say the least and I cannot wait to share further adventures with you.
Here is to hoping 2023 brings stability, a little spontaneity and of course, more books!
Happy New Year everyone! See you in 2023.
